The Gisborne Wine & Food Festival has been a must-do Labour Weekend event since 1997. This year's festival has a spectacular new venue, a completely new format, and lots more to taste, see and experience.
Gisborne's superb wines and regional food will be showcased in a stunning vineyard setting beside the historic Gray's Bush Scenic Reserve. Top Kiwi musicians will provide a full day of quality entertainment, and celebrity guest chefs Simon Gault and Al Brown will be hosting exclusive wine and food workshops.
Take the opportunity to rediscover everything Gisborne has to offer, and enjoy a Labour Weekend to remember.
Venue:
Gray's Bush Scenic Reserve, just 9.5 kilometres from Gisborne's centre, will be the dramatic entrance and exit to the festival. Guests will enter the reserve from Back Ormond Road, stroll along a path under kahikatea and puriri trees, and out onto the main festival site - a wide field surrounded by native bush, vineyards and rolling hills.
In this beautiful natural setting, guests will have the opportunity to sample wines from every winery in the Gisborne region and from many national wineries that source grapes locally.
