4th Edition from 3-4 June in Ampuis, France
03 June 2010

The fourth qualitative confrontation of the world's best Syrah/Shiraz wines will be held on 3 and 4 June 2010 at the Chateau d'Ampuis in the village of Ampuis (northern Rhone Valley, France).

The goal of this qualitative confrontation is to select the world's best Syrah/Shiraz wines. The events ambition is therefore to highlight Syrah/Shiraz wines from throughout the world each year by presenting medals that are reliable and thus representative.

The Syrah varietal was born a very long time ago on the hillsides of the northern Rhone Valley. It has since been spread successfully to other French regions and all over the world. As such, Syrah/Shiraz wines display a rich array of sensory characteristics that reflect their different terroirs, climates and winemaking practices.

This meeting will therefore offer a unique occasion to bring together and discover Syrah/Shiraz wines in all their forms: red, rose, still, sparkling, dry or sweet.

Syrah du Monde - is supported by an organising team composed of wine and grape professionals. The team have more than 15 years of experience in creating and organising international wine competitions, which over the years have distinguished themselves from other international tastings thanks to quality standards that go well beyond the norm.
