The 17th annual Chardonnay du Monde competition will take place from 10th to 13th March 2010 at Chateau des Ravatys, the wine estate of the Pasteur Institute at Saint Lager in the Burgundy wine region of France.

Bring together the world's best Chardonnays in an elegant setting - the Chateau des Ravatys.

The ambition of this international confrontation limited to Chardonnay wines is to pick out the best wines on the basis of their intrinsic quality.

The Objectives:

To support the quality measures undertaken by Chardonnay producers throughout the world.

To showcase the diversity and richness of Chardonnays currently being made.

To create a meeting place for those involved in Chardonnay, enabling improvements in the qualitative approach taken to Chardonnay.

To promote scientific research on and knowledge of Chardonnay.

To encourage a quality approach in the organisation of qualitative wine competitions by improving tasters' knowledge of Chardonnay.
