Founded in 1821 and with over 188 years of traditions and family experience, Dolin Vermouth is produced in Chambery, in the heart of the French Alps, by the last independent company still producing Vermouth de Chambery. The range includes Dry, Blanc & Rouge, which are all made to the same 1821 recipe; made from a specially selected mixture of plants found in the Alpine meadows above Chambery that give a fresh, elegant nose with a subtle, complex and bittersweet palate.
An Old Recipe Dating Back Nearly 200 Years:
Made to the same base of recipes since 1821, Dolin Vermouth de Chambery has long been the benchmark for fine Vermouth and is among the few remaining independent producers of Vermouth and the last producing Vermouth de Chambery. Inventors of the Blanc, Dolin is equally famous for its light, pale Dry. In the late 19th century, Dolin won medals in Paris, London, St. Louis and Philadelphia and in 1932 earned Chambery France's only Appellation d' Origine for Vermouth.
Fine Vermouths from the French Alps:
Dolin produces their Vermouths in Chambery, a mountain town in the centre of the French Alps. Made from fine wines and botanicals found in the Alpine meadows, the particular flavours and aromas of the plants are of crucial importance, so too is the fact that these botanicals are freshly harvested for maximum flavour.
The exact recipe is a closely guarded secret, but there are up to 54 different plants used - notably wormwood, but also hyssop, camomile, juniper, quinine bark and rose petals. These are infused in a dry Ugni-Blanc white wine for several months.
Possibly the best vermouth in the world...and the best for your cocktails.
