This is a delicious quick variation on a whiskey sour taken from a great cocktail book 'The Art of the Bar' - cocktails inspired by classics.
This is my new favourite drink using my favourite bourbon. Woodford Reserve is Kentucky's number 1 small batch bourbon - made at The Labrot and Graham Distillery which is Americas oldest. This bourbon has an unparalleled taste profile of spice, vanilla, cherry and orange due to the slow, handmade production and ageing processes.
Ingredients:
45ml Woodford Reserve Bourbon
15ml fresh Lemon Juice
10ml Sugar Syrup
2 dashes of Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
Method:
In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and finish with fresh lemon peel.
Garnish:
Lemon twist for garnish.
