Cocktail of the Week
Olive & Rosemary Martini
12 March 2012

The Hayman's 1820 - Gin Liquor: A really quite unique product that combines the aromatic complexity of gin, with the smooth sip-ability of a liqueur. This product didn't take long to gather the trades enthusiasm, after a few sips its easy to get your head around the concept, it's really going off in cocktail bars around NZ. Whilst still clearly present, the juniper takes a back seat and allows the citrus notes to come to the fore. There is a nice touch of spice, and altogether the liqueur is very well balanced. Although designed to be sipped, 1820 is much more fun as a mixer, providing an interesting and tasty twist to cocktails.

A classic martini cocktail gets a summer time makeover when garnished with oil-cured olives on a skewer of fragrant rosemary.

Ingredients:
60ml Hayman's 1820 Gin Liquor

15ml Dolin's Dry Vermouth

Pitted Black Olives
