This cocktail hails from South Africa where it's made with local brandy and orange liqueur. My version uses the world's No.1 selling VSOP Cognac from the house of Remy Martin since 1724.
Remy Martin is the cognac house everyone looks up to as they are one of the oldest. They are also the largest producer of premium cognac in the world - all of which is made in the heart of Cognac (the top two cru's/classifications - Grand Champagne and Petite Champagne). The highlight of my Europe tour last year was spending the day with both international Brand Ambassadors touring the whole production facility, offices and estate. TOTALLY AMAZING! If you are a spirit enthusiast you must visit Cognac.
