Remy Martin V.S.O.P is the world's largest selling V.S.O.P with a staggering 25% of all global sales. It is no wonder they have over 200,000 barrels of Grand and Petite Champagne Cognac (When blended classified as Fine Champagne Cognac) aging in their warehouses. Remy only use these two best cru's ensuring their entire product comes from the very heart of the Cognac region.

With the onslaught of winter nigh on our door it really is time for some dark and rich cocktail concoctions. This cocktail is a must try - even for those who do not like creamy drinks (like myself). We have a perfect harmony of sweetness and underlying spice in this drink and I guarantee one just will not suffice. Enjoy after a meal with some good friends.

Ingredients:

60ml Remy Martin V.S.O.P Cognac

30ml Sweet roasted peanut syrup*

30ml Cream

A dash of Valdespino 'Pedro Ximenez' Sherry

Method:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake well with stacks of ice (adding ice last). Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass and finish with freshly grated nutmeg.

*To make sweet roasted peanut syrup - slow roast peanuts with honey and sugar. Once cooled crack with mortar and pestle and bring to the boil in a pot with water. Slowly simmer for 1 1/2 hrs. Strain liquid and mix with equal quantity of sugar.
