The Bloody Mary is a classic cocktail made using vodka that is believed to have originated in Paris in the 1920's; before being revamped in the U.S. with some added spice where it quickly rose to fame. Here I've taken a spin on the Bloody Mary and used el Jimador Reposado Tequila in place of vodka - creating a Bloody Maria.
Tequila works perfectly in this cocktail by adding more spice notes, and the addition of Limoncello enhances the citrus flavours. You can adjust the amount of Tabasco you put in depending on how spicy you like it. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
45ml el Jimador Reposado Tequila
15ml Lemon Z Limoncello
15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
100ml Fresh Tomato Juice
3 drops of Tabasco
3 dashes of Worcestershire
Sea Salt and Fresh Cracked Pepper to taste
METHOD:
Take 2 Boston tins and add ingredients to one. Roll from one tin to another to combine. Pour into a large ice filled glass.
GARNISH:
Finish with fresh basil sprig.
