Cocktail of the Week
Hayman's Sling
01 December 2009

Hayman's London Dry Gin, which comes from the oldest Gin distilling family in the U.K. serves as the perfect base for this delicious Sling cocktail. A sling is basically punch in a glass - always served tall, it must consist of a base spirit, base liqueur, juice and bitters. I have used sour tropical flavours, which combined with the subtle Corriander, Juniper and citrus notes of the Hayman's makes for one delicious drink.

INGREDIENTS:
45ml Hayman's London Dry Gin

15ml De Kuyper Sour Grapefruit

60ml Passionfruit Juice

2 dashes Fee Brother's Peach Bitters

Juice of 1/2 Lime

Dash of Sugar Syrup

METHOD:
Shake all ingredients together in a Boston shaker and strain over ice into a chilled sling glass or catalina glass as it is commonly known here. Top with Soda water.

GARNISH:
It's as simple as putting a cherry on top!
