Grape Variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier

Growing Region: Victoria & Tasmania, Australia

Senior Winemaker: Loic Le Calvez

TASTING NOTE:
Taltarni is an established household name, known for producing extraordinarily high quality sparkling wines in Australia. Their vineyards in the Pyrenees (north-west Victoria) and Tasmania are the source of this very coveted sparkling wine.

Tache is the French word for 'stained'. At disgorging, the Taltarni Brut Tache is stained with red wine, which imparts the unique taste and elegant salmon colour. Taltarni's Brut Tache is a blend of three classic sparkling wine varietals; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier sourced from their cool climate vineyards in the Victorian and Tasmanian wine regions.

Due to these unique sites, the resulting wine has increased fruit concentration and flavour intensity whilst retaining this wines superb length and balanced natural acidity. This exquisite sparkling wine was fermented in its original bottle and matured on yeast lees according to traditional methods, creating a final complex and sophisticated sparkling wine style.

An engaging candyfloss-pink colour enhanced by a fine persistent bead, Taltarni's Brut Tache expresses an assortment of red berries and rose petal aromas complemented by citrus, peach and complex nougat and yeast characters.
