TASTING NOTE:
Beaujolais-Villages wine takes its name from the 38 winemaking villages in the Beaujolais wine producing region. Each village standing out for many years for superior quality. The vineyards which the fruit for this wine was sourced - come from some of the oldest wine-growing families in the Beaujolais wine region.

Franck Duboeuf is now guiding this pioneering family owned company, built on solid foundations by his father, setting high standards. Duboeuf works closely with some 400 grape-growers - crafting wines that can be found in over 140 countries. Georges Duboeuf wines are without doubt the most recognized Beaujolais wine brand the world over. Beaujolais-Villages wine is that ideal, multipurpose red wine the world is looking for versatility and early drinkability. Harvesting was done by hand, whole bunches, de-stemmed before fermentation, which took place between 26 - 28C with local yeast strains with maceration taking place from 6 to 8 days.

In the glass this Beaujolais-Villages has a vibrant cherry red colour, with a bluish hue. On the nose the wine shows ripe red fruits, expressing wild strawberry and raspberries, black currant notes, with a touch of spice. These ripe, bright fruits carry through onto the palate with is velvet smooth, with soft tannins, refreshing natural acidity and well-balanced. Due to its soft tannins and fruit friendly nature, the wines of Beaujolais Villages are best served slightly chilled at 13-15C.

CELLARING POTENTIAL:
Drinking perfectly well this coming summer season; and over the next 3-4 years.
