TASTING NOTE:
This wine shows the elegance of such a noble and expressive varietal, from a traditional winemaking region. This wine typifies the best characteristics of the of the Sangiovese grape, expressed by the union of complexity and fruit that makes this wine an absolute treat. The traditional viticulture practiced in the vineyards along with the 2 years of ageing in their cellar, delivers a unique wine that is captivating along with expressing the traditions and culture of the hill top town of Montepulciano.

The grapes were hand-harvested and after coming into the winery, the parcels of fruit underwent temperature-controlled skin contact, with fermentation taking place in a combination of small and medium sized stainless steel tanks for 21 days. The wine was then transferred into small oak barrels for 24 months of maturation and development, before tasting and final blending. Being bottled within 28 months after the harvest date and then rested in bottle for 4 months before release.

In the glass you have by a deep ruby red coloured wine with a garnet hue to the edge. On the nose the wine has intense aromas of dark cherries, berry fruits, fresh violets and dried spice. On the palate the wine is full and confident, with a broad mouth experience of dark fruits, with well integrated tannins, solid structure and harmonious oak due to its lengthy time in barrel, giving the wine a long and persistent finish. Decant for 45 minutes and serve at 16-18C.

CELLARING POTENTIAL:
Drinking well this coming season; and will age for another 5-7 years.
