TASTING NOTE:
After nearly a century - Pasqua continues to innovate and strengthen its position on the international scene - with the next generation of family members coming through and taking on key roles in the business. Tradition, innovation, quality, research and passion are all key values that have been passed from generation to generation within the family and expressed in all their wine ranges. The grapes for this wine were grown on local vineyard sites, just a short distance from Veneto on a mixture of hilly-slopes and soil types that included clay, limestone and alluvial-pebbles.
The Pinot Grigio and Garganega grapes were separately harvested and pressed as they have different maturation times and each was lightly macerated on their skins for about 4-8 hours at 6-7C. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18C. Then after a short period of time the wines are then tasted, blended and rested in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
In the glass you have a pale straw colour with a green tinged edge. On the nose the wine is fresh and lively with citrus & apple aromas which carry on through to create a bright palate. The wine has well balanced fruit, and crisp refreshing acidity, with interwoven layers of fresh pears, bramble apples and a subtle mineral note. A fresh and vibrant wine with plenty of crisp green fruits, citrus driven acidity and a well balanced dry finish. Chill and serve at 8-10C.
