The Emerson

The Emerson is another flavourful variation of the classic Martini. An Emerson uses sweet vermouth, as opposed to dry, and adds lemon juice and maraschino cherry-flavoured liqueur for extra flavour.
Just before Christmas 2009 - Hayman's Old Tom Gin was served in 'The Emerson Cocktail' at a White House Christmas party hosted by President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
INGREDIENTS:
45ml Hayman's Old Tom Gin
15ml Dolin de Chambery Rouge Vermouth
15ml Fresh Lime Juice
10ml Marasquin Liqueur
METHOD:
Simply shake all ingredients well with ice in a Boston shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
GARNISH:
Serve with a lemon twist.
