Tequila Herradura has a long history in the warm, dusty plains of Mexico. Founded in 1870 by Feliciano Romo, Herradura lies at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains in the small town of Amatitan, the heart of tequila country. As the story goes, Romo was traveling across this area in search of a place to put a tequila distillery when he stumbled across a horseshoe bathed by the sun's rays. Interpreting this as a sign of good luck he decided this was to be the location for his dream which he named Herradura - Spanish for 'horseshoe'. The symbolic Horseshoe appears on the Herradura bottle and logo. Try this cocktail and see if the luck of the horseshoe befalls upon you!
