Taltarni Vineyards - representing excellence and diversification in creating stylistic wines that distinctively express varietal character, regionalism and eclectic winemaking.
Established in 1969, Taltarni is a founding winery of Victoria's Pyrenees wine region. The picturesque 700ha property, purchased by current owner John Goelet (and Red Earth Nominees) in 1972, released its first wine in 1977. Today Taltarni has 132ha of the region's vines. Taltarni also has vineyards, Clover Hill and Lalla Gully in the Piper's River region of Tasmania and sources fruit from Victoria's Heathcote wine region.
The Pyrenees wine district is one of life's hidden treasures - the rolling hills, sweeping bluffs and gum trees create a beautiful landscape and a great place to relax.

Dynamic young French winemaker, Loic Le Calvez, extends Taltarni's tradition of French winemakers. Loic developed a fond interest in wine while working in his father's fine wine store in Brittany in France, supported by wine and management studies in Bordeaux.
Loic came to Australia in 2002 working as assistant winemaker for Taltarni and Clover Hill, followed by a vintage in Sonoma County in California; before returning to Taltarni for now his fifth vintage with Taltarni. Loic's inspiration relates to experience - comparing previous vintages and successes as references to create more consistent and elegant wine styles.
