Africa has been a source of inspiration and wonder for thousands of years and nowhere comes close for variety, vivid beauty and mystery. So when it came to creating a gin with distinctive character like Whitley Neill, Johnny Neill stepped off the beaten track and into the beating heart of Africa. Johnny went in search of botanicals that would capture the essence of this unique continent. Whitley Neill is slightly softer than more traditional gins and very smooth with rich juniper and citrus, pot pourri and exotic spices. The finish is a long one with a subtle fade of herbs, cocoa and candied lemon peels, while the nose is both citrusy sweet and peppery, with a distinctive floral aroma.
Crafted in England and inspired by the vivid beauty of Africa. A handcrafted gin of exceptional quality. Distilled in small batches by Johnny Neill, a direct descendent of Thomas Greenall, bringing together eight generations of expertise and a life-long love of adventure. An award winning gin that skilfully blends and balances nine rare African botanicals, including Baobab Fruit and Cape Gooseberrys. Baobab Fruit is the signature botanical, known in its native South Africa as the ‘Tree of Life’, with a soft grapefruit-like taste, it adds an unmistakeable burst of flavour.
