The Harvester
09 February 2010

The natural flavours of the Herradura Silver are citrus and subtle oak making this Tequila the perfect base for this subtly spiced, citrus flavoured drink. The Tequila warms the palate in partnership with the ginger and is mellowed out by the fresh Orange and Agave Nectar. Herradura Silver is a delicate Tequila, naturally fermented, slowly distilled and aged just 45 days - leaving it with only a hint of colour. This drink has loads of crisp refreshing flavour to be enjoyed in the sun, or equally in the evenings being slightly warmed by both the ginger and tequila.

INGREDIENTS:
60ml Herradura Silver Tequila
15ml Agave Nectar
3 x Large, peeled orange segments
1 x Large piece of peeled ginger
1 x tsp white sugar
Juice of one whole Tahitian Lime
3/4 Free Range Egg White

METHOD:
In a mixing glass add three large peeled orange segments, then one large piece of peeled ginger, one teaspoon of sugar and the juice of one whole Samoan lime. Add the agave nectar and muddle thoroughly. After muddling add the egg white and Herradura Silver Tequila. Fill the shaker with ice and shake thoroughly. Finally double strain into a sour glass.

GARNISH:
Garnish with an orange slice, ginger slice and mint sprig.
